Park Ave Summer Arts Fest
One of Rochester's most lively and popular annual summer events, The Park Ave Summer Arts Fest features 300 artists and craftspeople from 21 states and Canada.
DATES AND TIMES
The Park Ave Summer Arts Fest will be held on:
Saturday August 2, 2008 from 10am - 6pm
Sunday August 3, 2008 from 10am - 5pm
PARKING AND SHUTTLES
NEIGHBORHOOD PARKING NEAR PARK AVENUE
Along the neighborhood side streets, one-side parking will be allowed during the duration of the festival. PLEASE READ SIGNS CAREFULLY TO AVOID BEING TICKETED OR TOWED. These fill up quite early, so you may be better off to choose one of the FREE PARKING LOTS. (see map below)
Located at Monroe Square on Monroe Ave near Union Street and the other at Gleason Works at 1000 University Ave (enter lot from Elton Street)
SHUTTLES (see map below)
Shuttles from Monroe Square drop off at Park and Alexander (west end of show). Shuttles from Gleason Works drop off at Park and Culver (east end of show). Both shuttles make an intermediate stop at East Ave. and Oxford Street for those who do not wish to walk the entire festival.
There is a $1 round-trip charge for the shuttle. There is also ‘close in’ paid parking ($5) at a lot on the south side of the intersection of Brunswick and Park (one block west of Culver Road)
HANDICAP PARKING
One shuttle on each route is handicapped accessible. In addition, there is limited handicapped parking at Parkleigh at the corner of Goodman Street and Park Avenue.
DIRECTIONS
From the East...on the NYS Thruway (90), take Exit 45 (490West-Rochester). Continue on 490 West to Exit 19 (Culver Road). Turn right of onto Culver. The second light is Park Ave.
From the West...on the NYS Thruway (90), take Exit 47 (Leroy-490East). Continue on 490 East to Exit 17 (Goodman Street). Turn left off of exit onto Goodman. The 4th signal is Park Ave.
From the South...From 390 North, take 590 North to 490 West (Rochester). Take 490 West to Exit 19 (Culver Road). Turn right off exit onto Culver Rd. The second light is Park Ave.
