COMMERCIAL EXHIBITOR

Now entering its 42nd year, The Park Avenue Summer Art Fest is attended by more than 250,000 people over two days. That represents 25% of of the entire population of our six county area and we know that a full 99% hear of us through TV, radio, newspaper and word-of-mouth. That’s what happens when you put a spectacular art show, amazing entertainment acts and delicious food in the middle of Rochester’s most stunning neighborhood.

HOW TO APPLY

  • If you are the hands-on maker of a body care product  (handmade soaps, lotions, perfumes, etc.) or; handmade packaged food intended for off-premise consumption (Handmade salsa, mustards, jams, etc.) or; packaged/other  (i.e. Henna, candles, books, paper, etc.); you will need to apply for the juried art and craft show. If you are a brand name or retail business, or other type of business that would like to directly influence the 250,000 visitors of the annual Park Ave Fest, please complete the following information and a product specialist will contact you directly.

- SELF–ADDRESSED STAMPED ENVELOPE with postage for 2 ounces for mailing of festival information
- PLUS $30 Application Fee
- PLUS $40 for optional electricity if requested (per booth)
- PLUS $50 Late Fee if submitted after April 5

PROCEDURES AND SHOW RULES

TIMELINE

April 5: Final postmark date for application

April 20: Acceptance notices mailed

July 6: Exhibitor information packets mailed

August 3: Set-up for Park Ave Fest 3:30pm–8pm

August 4: Set-up for Park Ave Fest 6am–9am

August 4: Park Ave Fest 10am–6pm

August 5: Park Ave Fest 10am–5pm

FEES

Fees must be sent with your application in the form of checks or money orders made payable to Springut Group, Inc. or to Park Ave Summer Art Fest.

APPROVAL PROCESS

A committee meets in April to select exhibitors that will be allowed to exhibit during the Festival. If your organization is not chosen, your check will be returned.

BOOTH SPACES

Booth spaces are 10’ x 10’. You may request a general or specific location, but NO GUARANTEES are made that you will be assigned that space. Space assignments are final. You must provide your own tent, tables, etc. Spaces at Park Ave are on both sides of the street from the curb back, over the sidewalk. Many spaces are not level, SO YOU NEED TO PROVIDE LEVELERS. Be prepared for any kind of weather, with appropriate rain covers, tie-downs and weights. You will need at least a 40lb weight attached to each leg. All tables must be draped to the ground. Boxes and packing crates may not be visible

RELEASE

I hereby release and forever discharge the Park Avenue Summer Arts Festival (PASAF), the City of Rochester, all sponsoring and producing organizations, and their directors, officers, employees, agents and volunteers from any responsibility, personal liability, claims, loss or damage arising out of or in conjunction with my application to, or participation with, the PASAF. PASAF will not be responsible for any injury sustained by exhibitors or guests while within space designation for exhibits. Sponsor/Exhibitor shall indemnify, and hold harmless, The Springut Group Inc., The Park Avenue Revitalization Committee, The Park Avenue Merchants Association and the City of Rochester, from and against any and all claims, liabilities, or damages of whatever nature including, but not limited to, claims of bodily injury, death, personal injury, property damage, by whoever made, as well as the cost of litigation and counsel fees, arising from, based on, or in any manner related to Sponsor’s/ Exhibitor’s activities in connection with this Agreement. Further I understand that I store my goods and merchandise at my own risk without exception or limitation.

RULES

  • Your exhibit must be on display for all festival hours with someone present at all times. Failure to do so will result in your rejection from all further SGI shows. In case of an emergency, notify your Block Captain immediately.
  • You MUST display your registration certificate in the upper front right-hand side of your booth. You must also wear your provided name tag.
  • All items in your booth must be consistent with the photos submitted with your application and with the descriptions on your application. SGI has the right to require that any other items be immediately removed from the show.
  • You will confine your exhibit space to the space you have been allotted. NO displays will be set in the street or portruding curb area.
  • Staff will not “hawk” business or products in the street and will operate in a professional manner. • Amplified sound is prohibited without written pre-approval.
  • Artists and exhibitors will endeavor to be good neighbors. ANY disagreements will be reported to our block captains for resolution.
